Help with Safe Resume

Installation

The beta targets Windows 10/11 x64 with WebView2, Windows Terminal, and a native Codex CLI installation already signed in. Download only a published installer from our release page. If no release appears, public downloads are not open yet.

Run the installer for your Windows user, open Safe Resume, check the detected Codex path, and choose a task. Closing the window keeps monitoring in the tray. Quit stops monitoring. Sleeping PCs cannot check quota; overdue tasks need review after wake.

Compatibility

The beta reads quota reports and native terminal sessions. Automatic continuation is disabled for every CLI version until exclusive session ownership and real-world reliability are verified. A reset estimate is not a guarantee of model availability.

Read-only integration checks passed against the selected native Windows terminal CLI 0.144.6 for account data, quota reports, and one CLI task identity. This is not full workflow certification; notification delivery and manual reopening remain under validation. Other versions are unverified.

Codex Desktop, IDE-bundled runtimes, WSL, cloud sessions, macOS, and Linux are outside this release. Safe Resume rejects those bundled executables and never upgrades Codex automatically.

Privacy

Safe Resume stores task titles, thread identifiers, workspace paths, hashed account bindings, scheduling metadata, and activity locally. Activity and completed task metadata are retained for thirty days. Active watches remain until cancelled or resolved. Legacy continuation instructions are encrypted with Windows DPAPI and removed when authorization ends.

No app analytics, prompt text, model output, or Codex credentials are uploaded. User-initiated diagnostics omit names, paths, thread IDs, account identifiers, and instructions. Future configured license actions contact Lemon Squeezy with the license key and activation identifier; update checks contact GitHub. These services can receive your IP address.

Beta and support forms send the information you enter to Formspree. Do not include credentials, private prompts, or repository contents. You can request removal using the support form. Local data deletion in Settings clears app records and app-created migration backups, keeps monitoring paused, and does not touch Codex projects. Uninstall alone may retain app data. Deactivate a license before deleting its local record to free the remote activation.

License terms

This is proprietary software licensed for use, not sold as source code. The free beta permits quota reminders and manual session opening. No paid offer is currently available.

The planned $19 founder license is for one individual on up to two PCs, continued use of purchased versions, and twelve months of updates from license issuance. Update renewal is optional. Continued compatibility with future Codex releases requires maintained versions and is not guaranteed indefinitely. Redistribution of license keys or the software as your own product is not permitted. Any mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Refunds

When sales open, request a refund within fourteen days of purchase through the receipt link or support form. Include your order number, never your full license key. Refunds return through the payment provider and revoke the paid license. Free notification and cancellation controls remain available.
